Summary
Dick Spanner is a clumsy robot private detective operating in the futuristic metropolis of Big Pear, where he becomes involved in a series of eccentric and often surreal investigations. His work frequently brings him into contact with the glamorous Mae East, who provides intermittent assistance. Spanner’s efforts are regularly hindered by the local police and a succession of antagonists, creating a comedic, off‑beat atmosphere throughout his cases.
