Summary
Set in 2045, the series follows eight teenagers selected for a high‑stakes mission intended to pave the way for future human settlement on Mars. The narrative unfolds across two parallel timelines: their intensive preparation at DreaMars, an advanced training facility on Earth, and the aftermath of their unexpected emergency landing in one of the most hazardous regions of Mars.
Once on the planet’s surface, the young astronauts quickly discover that the conditions they encounter differ dramatically from what they were taught, revealing troubling inconsistencies in their training. As they struggle to complete their mission, the group navigates the emotional complexities of adolescence, forming deep friendships, experiencing first love, clashing in moments of conflict, and engaging in the mischief typical of their age.
Amid these personal challenges, a series of dramatic revelations threatens to fracture the team and jeopardise not only their survival but also humanity’s hopes for establishing a future on Mars.
