Summary
Sungjin High School is thrown into turmoil when a sudden alien invasion engulfs the planet, unleashing violent, insect‑like creatures across the world. As South Korea’s military collapses under the onslaught, the government imposes emergency conscription on all third‑year high‑school students, forcing them into accelerated military training even as their university entrance exams loom.
Under the stern guidance of platoon leader Lee Chun‑ho, the students learn rifle handling, close‑quarters combat, and obstacle‑course manoeuvres, still dressed in their school uniforms, caught between adolescence and warfare. Their homeroom teacher, Park Eun‑young, fights desperately to shield them from the horrors closing in.
As the alien threat intensifies and the front lines draw nearer, the question becomes unavoidable: can these ordinary students rise to become humanity’s last line of defence, or will the weight of global catastrophe crush them before they ever come of age?
