Summary
Set in a world where every individual develops a superpower upon turning eighteen, Extraordinary centres on Jen, a twenty‑five‑year‑old woman who has yet to manifest any ability, rendering her an outlier in a society defined by supernatural gifts. Jen works in a costume shop and shares a flat with her best friend Carrie, who can channel the spirits of the dead, and Carrie’s boyfriend Kash, who possesses the ability to rewind time and harbours ambitions of becoming a superhero.
Their routine is disrupted by Jizzlord, a shapeshifter who has spent several years trapped in the form of a cat and retains no memory of his former life. As Jen embarks on a quest to discover her own latent power, the series uses comedy to explore themes of identity, belonging, and the challenges of early adulthood.
