Summary
Lonesome Cooper, a down‑on‑his‑luck country‑and‑western singer, drifts from town to town, only to find himself periodically transported back to the American West of the 1870s. In both eras, he must rely on his musical talents to earn a living and navigate the dangers around him. Survival comes easily enough, but avoiding trouble proves far more challenging, and Cooper soon discovers that the choices he makes in the past carry significant repercussions, both beneficial and disastrous, for the present and the future.
