Summary
As a night bus navigates a treacherous mountain road, it suddenly loses control and plunges off a cliff. At the instant disaster strikes, time inexplicably freezes, the bus suspended in mid‑air, motionless. In this immobilised world, only Qu Xiaowan and Liu Xin remain able to move. Both have unknowingly awakened as “activated obsessives,” individuals endowed with extraordinary abilities recognised by the Alliance as obsessive powers. Liu Xin can read minds, while Qu Xiaowan possesses the ability to halt time itself.
Their awakening triggers a chain of escalating dangers. The two soon find themselves pursued by future versions of themselves, only to be rescued by a mysterious man calling himself Kong Yuan, who entrusts them with a futuristic pocket watch capable of traversing time and space.
As bizarre events unfold one after another, the impoverished and unassuming Liu Xin is forced into a perilous journey alongside the imposing and formidable Qu Xiaowan, embarking together on a twisting, unpredictable escape through shifting timelines.
