Summary
Seven years after the sudden death of her soulmate, Elliot, Lily has settled into a quiet life with their son, Evan. During the Christmas season, however, Evan’s heartfelt wish leads to an extraordinary development when Elliot seemingly returns. The man who reappears is not truly Elliot, but a humanoid robot programmed with his memories, personality, and experiences.
As Lily reconnects with the figure who resembles her late partner, she finds herself confronting unresolved grief and the possibility of a second chance at love. At the same time, she must navigate the challenges posed by advanced technology, family expectations, and the emotional complexities of a relationship with an artificial being. Through its blend of romance, drama, and science fiction, the story explores themes of loss, memory, identity, and whether genuine human connection can exist between a person and an artificial recreation of a loved one.
