Summary
In the near future, 4Ever Innovations offers ethically contentious services such as human cloning, android construction, and memory extraction. Dr. Penny Serling pursues thrill‑seeking escapism through virtual‑reality experiences, while Bethany Montrose, recovering from a painful divorce, uncovers troubling secrets about her enigmatic superior, Colin Sommers. Their experiences gradually reveal the darker operations concealed within 4Ever Innovations.
