Summary
"The series is set in a nightmarish American town from which no one who enters can escape. Its unwilling inhabitants struggle to survive against malevolent nocturnal creatures that emerge from the surrounding forest, all while attempting to uncover the hidden mechanisms governing the town and searching for any means of escape.
The narrative centres on Boyd Stevens (Perrineau), the town’s self‑appointed sheriff and de facto mayor, whose leadership holds the fragile community together. The arrival of the Matthews family, who quickly realise they are trapped like the others, introduces a new perspective on the town’s mysteries. As danger mounts, the residents must cooperate to preserve their lives and pursue answers that may lie both within the town’s boundaries and beyond them.
