Summary
Yami o Terasu Mono is set in an alternate universe parallel to that of the Saejima lineage and centres on Vol City, a technologically advanced metropolis constructed around an active volcano and plagued by demonic entities known as Horrors. The narrative follows Ryuga Dougai, a Makai Knight who has inherited the mantle of Garo the Golden Knight, though the Garo Armour has lost its traditional golden radiance and no longer possesses its full power.
Ryuga forms an alliance with fellow Makai Knights Aguri and Takeru, as well as Makai Priests Burai and Rian, to confront the city’s hidden corruption. Their primary adversaries are Madō Horrors, a rare and formidable subspecies of Horror. As Ryuga destroys these entities, fragments of the Garo Armour’s lost golden light mysteriously return, prompting an investigation into the origin of the Madō Horrors and the reason behind the armour’s gradual restoration.
