Summary
In 2014, Earth faces an imminent asteroid apocalypse, seven years after fragments from an earlier impact devastated Baguio City during the 2007 Panagbenga Festival. Soldier Isaak Macalintal, who protected Vice President Edgardo Salvacion during the disaster, was wrongly blamed for Edgardo’s death and sentenced to life imprisonment. Presumed dead, he spends seven years in isolation until President Sandra Salvacion pardons him and assigns him a critical mission.
Isaak becomes part of Operation Genesis, a secret global effort to preserve a select group of healthy individuals as a modern “Noah’s Ark.” While locating these chosen survivors, he confronts personal turmoil, including a reunion with former fiancée Racquel, now married, and the discovery of their daughter Osie.
Amid political intrigue involving former president Ramona Escalabre, Sandra learns the asteroid’s impact is unavoidable. As Operation Genesis unfolds, the characters face profound moral dilemmas about selective survival and the sacrifices required at humanity’s end.
