Summary
The series follows a sharp‑witted sceptic and a brilliant true believer in paranormal phenomena who are recruited by an organisation known as the Bureau Underground to investigate a succession of unexplained incidents occurring throughout the Los Angeles area. These disturbances appear to be connected to a mysterious entity whose emergence may pose an existential threat to humanity.
In the latter half of the season, the narrative shifts toward a series of conspiracy theories after Leroy and Max discover that the Bureau Underground has been covertly bugged, prompting them to question whether the paranormal events they have been documenting are genuine or part of a larger deception.
