Summary
A wave of crimes is being carried out using giant robots operated by the secretive QX criminal organisation. Orphaned youth Shotaro (Naitō) discovers that these machines are in fact military prototypes designed by his late father during World War II and long believed to have been destroyed in Allied bombing raids. Instead, the robots survived and have since fallen into the hands of QX.
Former military researcher Professor Shikashima (Mikawa) assists Shotaro in locating Ironman No. 28, the final and most powerful of the surviving prototypes. Determined to reclaim his father’s legacy, Shotaro resolves to use No. 28 to combat crime and restore honour to his family name.
Not to be confused with the 1963 or 2004 anime versions.
