Summary
Eight millennia ago, the Daos Empire, also referred to as the Daos Civilization, prospered in the region corresponding to modern Southern China. The empire was composed of three distinct tribes:
- Dai — a spiritually attuned people whose mastery of qi formed the cultural core of the civilization
- Shura - the ancestors of present‑day humanity
- Gorma — a militaristic clan whose members cultivated increasingly destructive qi abilities
For centuries, these groups coexisted peacefully. This balance collapsed when the Gorma Tribe attempted to seize control of the Daos Empire and ultimately the world. Their uprising initiated a conflict that endured for 5,000 years, led on the Gorma side by the ruling Gorma Triumvirate.
As the war escalated, the Gorma’s qi evolved to such extremes that many warriors gained the ability to transform into monstrous forms. In response, the Mythical Qi Beasts manifested, powerful entities aligned with the Dai. Five Dai warriors, whose qi had reached exceptional levels, became capable of commanding these beasts, turning the tide of the conflict.
The prolonged struggle concluded with the mysterious disappearance of both the Dai and Gorma tribes, while the Shura dispersed across the world and eventually became modern humanity.
