Summary
Ralph Hinkley, a Los Angeles high‑school teacher working with a class of remedial‑education students, unexpectedly encounters a group of extra-terrestrials during a school field trip. The aliens present him with a specialised suit that grants superhuman abilities, and instruct him to work in partnership with FBI Special Agent Bill Maxwell to combat crime and broader threats to society.
Attorney Pam Davidson, who previously represented Ralph during his divorce, later has her own encounter with the aliens. After some persuasion, she agrees to assist Ralph and Bill on select missions, becoming an intermittent but valuable member of their team.
Ralph’s students, Rhonda Blake, Tony Villicana, Cyler Johnson, and Paco Rodriguez—appear regularly, providing both comic relief and emotional grounding. The series also features Les Carlisle, Bill’s no‑nonsense FBI supervisor.
