Summary
Hard Sun is a pre‑apocalyptic crime thriller set in present‑day London. It follows Charlie Hicks and Elaine Renko, two fundamentally mismatched police officers who uncover classified evidence that a catastrophic cosmic event will render Earth uninhabitable within five years. Determined to suppress the truth and prevent societal collapse, the government, through its MI5 operatives, moves aggressively to silence anyone who learns of the impending disaster. As Hicks and Renko attempt to navigate their own troubled partnership, they find themselves hunted by state forces while trying to protect the public from a future no one is meant to know.
