Summary
In the town of Swellview, thirteen‑year‑old Henry Hart leads an otherwise ordinary life until he secures a part‑time position as Kid Danger, the trusted sidekick of the city’s famed superhero, Captain Man. Bound by strict secrecy, Henry must conceal his new responsibilities from his best friends Charlotte and Jasper, his younger sister Piper, and his parents, creating a constant tension between his everyday routine and his covert double life.
Henry’s work begins at Junk ’n’ Stuff, a seemingly unremarkable shop that hides the Man Cave, Captain Man’s high‑tech underground headquarters. There, Henry trains, assists in missions, and learns the complexities of crime‑fighting. Captain Man, aware that he will not be able to protect Swellview forever, hints that he will eventually need a successor , suggesting that Henry may one day take his place.
