Summary
The series is set within the Ninth Forensic Laboratory of the National Research Institute of Police Science, commonly known as The Ninth, where a specialised MRI-based technology is used to reconstruct the final memories of deceased individuals. By analysing these visualised memories, investigators are able to examine unsolved cases and uncover information that would otherwise remain inaccessible.
The story follows two police officers who employ this technology to investigate complex crimes. As they review the thoughts, emotions, and hidden secrets of victims in their final moments, they are confronted not only with the truth behind each case but also with the emotional consequences of witnessing the lives and regrets of the dead.
