Summary
An anthology series exploring the strangeness embedded within everyday life, the programme presents self‑contained stories that blend the familiar with the uncanny.
The first season adapts short fiction by Julio Cortázar, Shirley Jackson, George Hitchcock, George Mandel and Theodore Sturgeon. Four episodes were directed by Claude Chabrol, with the remaining two directed by Christian de Chalonge and Édouard Molinaro.
All six episodes of the second season draw on short stories by William Irish. Produced in 1978, the season was broadcast the following year.
