Summary
Holmes and Yoyo is a comedy series centred on an unlikely police partnership between a human detective and a humanoid robot. Detective Alexander Holmes is a competent officer, but his unfortunate record of sending previous partners to hospital has left him unable to find anyone willing to work with him. Seeing an ideal opportunity for a field trial, Dr. Babcock assigns his latest experimental creation , the android Yoyo , to serve as Holmes’s new partner.
Designed as a prototype “cop of the future,” Yoyo possesses total recall and near‑invulnerability, though his programming is still imperfect. As a result, he occasionally malfunctions in ways no human officer ever would, creating constant complications for Holmes, who is one of the few aware of Yoyo’s true nature.
Among those kept in the dark is Officer Maxine Moon, who remains oblivious to Yoyo’s robotic identity. Had she known, she would almost certainly have abandoned her persistent attempts to flirt with him.
