Summary
Set in a world destabilised by an epidemic of madness transmitted through language and speech, the reclusive former linguist Murat Siyavuş retreats to his mother’s home, where he discovers he is inexplicably immune to the affliction. Pursued by the ruthless Anti‑Epidemic Institution, he is forced to abandon the safe zone and navigate the burning, devastated streets of Istanbul. As he flees through the ruins, Murat searches for the truth behind his so‑called “hot skull,” the lingering imprint of the disease that may hold the key to understanding its origins.
