Summary
In 2020, environmental scientist Professor Thom Archer uncovers evidence suggesting that Halo, a powerful energy corporation drilling deep within the Greenland Glacier, is accelerating its melt. His warnings are dismissed, prompting Archer to travel to the Arctic in search of irrefutable proof. Once there, he discovers that the destabilisation of the glacier poses an immediate and catastrophic threat to humanity. Racing home to protect his family, Archer witnesses the glacier’s collapse, an event that triggers global devastation. As unprecedented atmospheric disturbances unfold, the world’s temperatures plummet, signalling the rapid onset of a new ice age.
