Summary
Former United States Army Delta Force operative Gabriel Vaughn serves as a high‑technology intelligence asset whose capabilities are augmented by a sophisticated microchip implanted in his brain. The device connects him directly to the global information grid, enabling him to penetrate secure data centers and retrieve critical intelligence in support of national security operations.
Lillian Strand, Director of the United States Cyber Command, oversees Gabriel’s missions and provides strategic guidance. To mitigate external threats, and to temper Gabriel’s tendency toward impulsive, protocol‑defying behaviour, she assigns United States Secret Service Special Agent Riley Neal as his protective detail.
While executing Cyber Command operations, Gabriel also uses the chip’s capabilities to search for his missing wife, CIA officer Amelia Hayes, who vanished years earlier during an undercover assignment to infiltrate Lashkar‑e‑Taiba and prevent a planned terrorist attack in Mumbai, India.
