Summary
Dr. Griffin is portrayed as a brilliant but unbalanced scientist who turns his intellectual gifts toward destructive ends. Pursuing power through his experimental discoveries, he initiates a personal campaign of terror that reveals his descent into homicidal mania. His invisibility becomes both a physical condition and a metaphor for his moral disintegration, allowing him to act without restraint or accountability.
