Summary
Shizuka Gentaro is presented as a Special Security Defense Force operative whose outwardly carefree temperament masks a formal role in safeguarding Japan. Although characterised as a cheerful wanderer, Gentaro’s assignment requires him to travel across the country, identifying and confronting groups that pose threats to national stability.
During his travels he encounters Kirishima Goro, a timid and awkward drifter who initially appears to be nothing more than a fellow traveller. In reality, Goro is also an agent of the Security Defense Force, dispatched to covertly monitor and support Gentaro’s mission. His unassuming demeanour conceals a second, far more extraordinary secret: Goro has been surgically equipped with an internal computerised control system that allows him to restructure his own genetic makeup. Through this mechanism he can transform into the giant cybernetic warrior known as Iron King.
Gentaro and Goro, operating both in human form and as Iron King, function as a mobile defence unit, confronting organisations and entities that threaten Japan’s security. Their partnership forms the core of the narrative, juxtaposing Gentaro’s human resourcefulness with Iron King’s overwhelming physical power.
