Summary
Jamie is a young protagonist who discovers a magic carpet in a junk shop and learns its properties from the enigmatic Mr. Zed. Under Mr. Zed’s guidance, Jamie uses the carpet to travel into the past. The journeys are initiated when Jamie sits upon the carpet, which rises into the air and begins to spin at increasing speed, enabling a transition through time.
