Summary
Naoki (Tachibana) is selected to defend Earth against alien forces originating from Planet Glose and is provided with the giant combat robot Janborg A. In contrast to heroes such as Ultraman, with whom the series is sometimes superficially compared, Naoki remains entirely human and serves solely as the pilot of the Earth‑defence machine.
Janborg A is ordinarily disguised as a Cessna aircraft housed at the aviation company where Naoki is employed, a premise that frequently generates workplace complications. These include situations in which Naoki requires the aircraft to transform into Janborg A during an alien attack, while colleagues are simultaneously using it for routine duties, such as conducting sightseeing flights for elderly passengers.
