Summary
Jeopardy is a British-Australian science‑fiction drama centred on a group of eight pupils from Falkirk, Scotland, and their teacher who travel to Australia to investigate alleged extraterrestrial activity. Across its two series, the narrative follows the group’s disappearance, rescue, and subsequent attempts to understand the unexplained phenomena surrounding their journey.
In the first series, the expedition to Australia quickly deteriorates. The children are left stranded when both their teacher and a park ranger vanish without explanation. After the group eventually reunites, they themselves disappear, setting the stage for the second series. Although the party is ultimately recovered, two members, David and Sarah, remain missing, while Gerry is hospitalised. The remaining students undertake a wide‑ranging search across Australia to locate the missing pair.
Upon finding David and Sarah, the group unexpectedly reappears in Falkirk, invisible to everyone except themselves and the two missing pupils. They discover that six weeks have passed during their absence, prompting a return to Australia to uncover the cause of their disappearance. Once back in Australia, the group begins to vanish again, one by one.
