Summary
Tamura Naoto is introduced as a newly appointed detective in Central City who is killed in the line of duty during an encounter with the criminal organisation Bioron. He is subsequently revived through cybernetic reconstruction by Dr. Igarashi Kenzou, whose earlier experimental work had inadvertently led to Bioron’s creation. Reborn as the robot detective Jiban, Naoto resumes his mission to oppose the organisation responsible for his death.
During Bioron’s escalating campaign, Jiban is destroyed by the operatives Mad Garbo and Rhinonoid, but later returns in an enhanced form designated Perfect Jiban. In the series finale, Bioron annihilates Jiban’s operational base and transforms Mad Garbo into a counterfeit version of Jiban. The authentic Jiban defeats this duplicate and confronts the entity known as the Kibanoid, the true form of Bioron’s leader Doctor Kiba.
Following his final victory, Jiban learns that Igarashi Mayushi, the only civilian aware of his secret identity, is in fact his long‑missing younger sister, bringing closure to his personal narrative alongside the defeat of Bioron.
