Summary
Two years prior to the events of the narrative, Yuji Kiba was involved in a severe automobile accident that resulted in the deaths of both of his parents and left him in a prolonged coma. In the present day, Kiba is reported to have died, but he unexpectedly regains consciousness in a morgue. Upon attempting to return to his former life, he discovers that his circumstances have irrevocably changed. He is subsequently taken in by the organisation known as Smart Brain, which informs him that he has been reborn as an Orphenoch and must renounce his human identity, adopting the organisation’s directive to eliminate humanity.
The parallel storyline concerns Takumi Inui, a young man characterised by emotional reticence and a marked reluctance to form personal connections. Inui becomes involved with Mari Sonoda after mistakenly believing she has stolen his gym bag. He soon learns that Mari is carrying a technologically advanced transformation belt sought by various parties who wish to prevent its exposure to the public. During a confrontation, an Orphenoch appears and demands that Mari surrender the belt.
In a moment of desperation, Mari attempts to activate the belt to transform into Kamen Rider 555, but the device fails to respond to her. She then attaches the belt to Inui, compelling him to engage the Orphenoch in combat. Although initially unwilling to remain involved with Mari, Inui is gradually drawn deeper into her circumstances and ultimately agrees to continue fighting the Orphenochs as Kamen Rider 555.
