Summary
Kazuma Kenzaki’s world is shaped by BOARD, a covert research and defence agency created to safeguard humanity from the Undead, a race of immortal beings sealed away in ancient times. When BOARD accidentally releases 52 Undead, the organisation responds by engineering two bio‑armoured warriors, Kamen Rider Blade and Kamen Rider Garren, to recapture them and prevent the resurrection of the species that would dominate Earth.
Kazuma, the earnest and duty‑driven wielder of the Blay Buckle, finds himself abruptly homeless and accepts lodging with Kotaro Shirai, an enthusiastic freelance journalist who trades room and board for insider knowledge about BOARD and the Riders. Sharing the same home is the enigmatic Hajime Aikawa, whose aloof demeanour and solitary habits conceal his identity as Kamen Rider Chalice, a Rider who operates independently, rejects BOARD’s authority, and treats Blade and Garren as potential threats rather than allies.
