Summary
Twenty‑two years after the disappearance of his father, Wataru Kurenai, portrayed by Koji Seto, resides in a notorious “haunted house” and is fated to inherit the mantle of Kamen Rider Kiva. As Kiva, Wataru is tasked with combating the Fangaia, life‑draining monsters belonging to the same race his father once opposed prior to vanishing. Over time, Wataru is joined by a second Rider, Kamen Rider Ixa, whose user is affiliated with an organisation dedicated to eradicating the Fangaia threat.
The narrative is structured across two interwoven timelines: the present day in 2008, following Wataru’s development as Kiva, and the year 1986, chronicling the actions of his father, Otoya Kurenai. Through the gradual convergence of these dual storylines, the series reveals the origins of the Fangaia, the legacy of Kiva, and the complex relationship between father and son.
