Summary
Seventeen‑year‑old Leila is a socially isolated teenager whose primary escape is Azana, a fictional massively multiplayer online role‑playing game to which she is deeply devoted. Within this virtual environment she encounters Tess, a charismatic and self‑assured party girl whose outward confidence conceals a troubling secret. Their friendship soon extends into the real world, but Tess’s sudden disappearance propels Leila into a determined investigation, drawing her into the unsettling mystery surrounding her friend’s fate.
