Summary
The Turborangers are introduced against a mythic backdrop in which, 20,000 years earlier, the Fairy race aided humanity in sealing away the Hundred Bohma Tribes, a coalition of malevolent beings. Over millennia, however, the accelerating effects of human‑driven environmental destruction, pollution, deforestation, and the degradation of natural ecosystems, gradually weakened the potency of Fairy magic. As the seal deteriorated, the Bohma Tribes succeeded in breaking free, returning to threaten the modern world.
To counter this resurgence, Seelon, the last surviving Fairy, seeks assistance from Dr. Dazai. Together, they identify five high‑school seniors who, as children, were bathed in the “flames of spirit” released by dying fairies during a forest battle. This exposure endowed them with the ability to perceive Seelon’s voice and marked them as the only humans capable of responding to the Bohma threat.
Through a fusion of Seelon’s remaining magic and Dr. Dazai’s scientific engineering, the five students are equipped with powered combat suits, enabling them to become the Turborangers. Their mission requires them to balance ordinary school life with the responsibility of confronting the Bohma Tribes, defending humanity, and upholding the legacy of the ancient Fairy race.
