Summary
The Robot Army Corps from the planet Dada launch a full‑scale invasion of Earth, abducting Dr. Hayami and two of his three sons, Jouji and Ryuji. One year after the kidnapping, the Corps initiate a renewed offensive against Japan and its newly established Earth Defense Force, whose conventional capabilities prove ineffective against the machines’ rapid advance across the battlefield. As the situation deteriorates, an unidentified spacecraft descends upon Japan, carrying two enigmatic robots who introduce themselves as Sky Zero and Ground Zero. Shortly after their arrival, the metallic pair not only repel the ongoing assault but also succeed in eliminating the commanding general of the invading force.
Following this initial confrontation, it is revealed that Sky Zero and Ground Zero have been programmed with the distinct personalities and behavioural traits of Kenji Hayami’s elder brothers, Jouji and Ryuji. Created by Dr. Hayami prior to his capture, the two robots were designed to safeguard his youngest son and to serve as Earth’s final line of defence against the Robot Army Corps. Joined by their robotic assistant Gombess, Sky Zero and Ground Zero soon become trusted allies of the Earth Defense Force and emerge as humanity’s last hope in the struggle against the extraterrestrial invaders.
