Summary

Lab Rats is an American science‑fiction comedy series centred on Leo Dooley, a teenager whose life changes dramatically when his mother, Tasha, marries billionaire inventor Donald Davenport. After moving into Davenport’s technologically advanced home in Mission Creek, California, Leo accidentally discovers three bionic teenagers, Chase, Adam, and Bree, living in a hidden laboratory beneath the house. The series follows the trio as they attempt to balance their extraordinary abilities with the challenges of everyday life, forming an unconventional family unit under Davenport’s guidance.

As the narrative expands, the series introduces additional figures connected to the origins and evolution of bionic technology. These include Davenport’s younger brother Douglas, the creator of the original bionic program, and Douglas’ android son Marcus. Later antagonists include Victor Krane, a powerful bionic adversary, and his enhanced soldiers Taylor (formerly S‑1) and Sebastian (formerly S‑3). The storyline also features scientist Giselle and her android creation Troy West, further exploring the ethical and technological implications of artificial life.

In the third season, Davenport establishes a fully equipped bionic academy on a remote island, designed to retrain Krane’s former soldiers as a new generation of bionic heroes.
