Summary
Following a catastrophic global viral pandemic that eradicates more than 80 percent of the world’s population, the 218‑person crew of the U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke‑class guided‑missile destroyer USS Nathan James (DDG‑151), one of the few groups unaffected by the outbreak, becomes humanity’s last viable hope for survival. Tasked with identifying a cure, the crew undertakes a mission of worldwide scope, confronting geopolitical instability, scientific uncertainty, and the collapse of civil order as they attempt to restore the future of the human race.
