Summary
Lastikman is depicted as a half‑human, half‑alien superhero whose lineage traces to the Harraian species of the Harraio Galaxy. He is born on the Harraian planet Igbao to Ruth Abelgas, a human abducted for scientific study, and Irroian, a Harraian researcher.
Ruth’s capture forms part of a wider Harraian initiative to examine human physiology. During her confinement, Irroian develops sympathy for her situation and ultimately assists in her escape. Their relationship deepens, resulting in the birth of their son, Eskappar, later known on Earth as Lastikman.
Elsewhere within the Harraian kingdom, Amon Labao orders an extensive search for Ruth. She equips her agent Maaram with an invisibility potion, enabling him to track Ruth covertly and uncover Irroian’s involvement. Agaddon, Irroian’s closest friend, intervenes to protect him, becoming the primary suspect when he helps Ruth flee the planet.
Ruth and Agaddon escape Igbao, but Irroian is forced to remain behind with the infant Eskappar. Because Eskappar’s half‑human physiology makes his skin visibly different from that of the Harraians, Irroian conceals the distinction by painting the child’s body.
Maaram eventually discovers Eskappar’s true hybrid nature. To protect his son, Irroian launches Eskappar in a space capsule bound for Earth, giving him a necklace as a memory token. Irroian is captured soon afterward, but not before ensuring the capsule’s departure.
During its journey, the capsule collides with a passing comet, altering its trajectory and sending it crashing into a mountain forest in the Philippines. There, the infant is discovered by Caloy Asis, a pito‑pito herbalist. Caloy names the child Miguel and raises him as his own, setting the stage for Lastikman’s future adventures.
