Summary
Four ordinary children become aware that a costumed vigilante once operated in their city. Known as the Silver Shadow, he was a lone crime‑fighter active approximately fifty years earlier, whose exploits have largely faded from public memory. The group uncovers a preserved digital recording of the Silver Shadow’s consciousness, an artificial intelligence created by the hero as a contingency should he be defeated. Its singular function is to identify and train a successor.
For the four children, the discovery represents an unprecedented opportunity to study and adopt the Silver Shadow’s methods and abilities. Under the guidance of the AI, they begin leading a dual existence: maintaining their everyday roles as schoolchildren while simultaneously undertaking the early stages of superhero activity.
