Summary
A detachment of legionnaires, commanded by the legionnaire Pinozzo and Sergeant Duval, is assigned to overthrow Queen Oreussa, a usurper who has displaced her twin sister Queen Ahasuerus, the latter described as Oreussa’s antipode.
In advancing her schemes, Oreussa is supported by Prince Rotul, the malevolent counterpart and antipode of his twin Lutor, who in turn serves as an ally to the deposed Queen Ahasuerus.
