Summary
Set in the year 2369, the narrative follows the androids Fi and Fum, who inadvertently pass through a temporal distortion and arrive on Earth in 1975. Eager to establish friendly contact, they invite two humans , a boy named Jerry and his babysitter, Alice , aboard their spacecraft. When a crowd of curious onlookers gathers around the vessel, Fum panics and activates the launch sequence, propelling the craft back into space and leaving its occupants adrift in time.
The ensuing episodes chronicle their encounters with a succession of unfamiliar, often futuristic worlds, as Fi and Fum attempt to return their unwilling passengers safely to Earth.
