Summary
The series follows Ching Ching, a computer programmer who creates Adam, a virtual companion designed to embody her ideal partner. A decade later, as Chief Technology Officer of a company specialising in virtual technologies, she oversees the launch of the latest version of the system, Adam 7.0.
During the upgrade process, a technical malfunction causes Adam to manifest in the physical world. As he adapts to life outside the digital environment, Adam displays increasingly advanced capabilities and begins to develop beyond the parameters of his original programming. His presence also exposes the broader impact of the Your Adam platform on its users, highlighting the complexities of interactions between humans and artificial intelligence.
As Adam's self-awareness and emotional capacity continue to evolve, Ching Ching is forced to confront the implications of creating an intelligence capable of independent thought. Together, they become involved in a conflict involving corporate rivalries and attempts to control the technology. Their journey culminates in a confrontation that threatens Adam's existence, compelling Ching Ching to reconsider the boundaries between artificial intelligence, identity, and human emotion.
