Summary
In ancient China, Qin Shi Huang is said to have dispatched a secret group known as the Nanshan Hunters in search of the secret of immortality. Over time, both the expedition and its purpose disappear into legend, leaving behind only fragments of a forgotten mystery.
In the present day, sculptor Nie Jiu Luo, a descendant of the Nanshan Hunters, becomes drawn into events connected to their lost history. At the same time, Yan Tuo, a wealthy young man seeking answers about his family's connection to the enigmatic Lin Xi Rou, pursues a parallel search for the truth.
As Nie Jiu Luo and Yan Tuo's paths converge, they become involved in an investigation that uncovers long-buried secrets surrounding the Nanshan Hunters, Lin Xi Rou, and the mysterious Di Xiao. Initially at odds with one another, the pair gradually develop mutual trust as they confront a series of dangers and revelations. Their search leads them into a hidden world of ancient powers, legendary creatures, and myths surrounding immortality, forcing them to confront truths that challenge their understanding of history and reality.
