Summary
Mary and her cousins, Alice and William, spend Christmas visiting Mary’s father at his recently acquired house. Their stay takes an unexpected turn when they encounter a time‑travelling wizard and a number of talking animals, leading them to suspect that the old property conceals mysteries far beyond its outward appearance.
