Summary
A band of renegades from the twenty‑sixth century, known collectively as The Group, escape into the contemporary era, where they encounter schoolchildren Kate, her brother Duncan, and their friend Sammy. Compelling the children to conceal their presence, the fugitives undertake an unusual measure: they transfer the consciousness of their leader, Levin, into Sammy’s dog, Radnor.
Their arrival, however, has not gone unnoticed. The Group are pursued by Gala, a clandestine future police organisation commanded by Halmar. As the pursuit intensifies, the children become unwilling allies to the renegades, assisting them in securing a critical piece of equipment required for their return to the future.
