Summary
Masked Rider is a solitary costumed superhero introduced within the continuity of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the before becoming the central figure of his own series. His civilian identity is Dex, a young prince from the planet Edenoi, also identified as the homeworld of Alpha 5. Edenoi is depicted as a war‑torn world engaged in a civil conflict between freedom fighters and the tyrant Count Dregon, Dex’s uncle. Dex’s grandfather, King Lexian, grants him enhanced insect‑derived abilities and sends him to Earth to oppose Dregon’s expanding forces.
On Earth, Dex resides with the Stewart family, a multi‑ethnic household consisting of Hal, Barbara, Molly, and Albee. He attempts to integrate into human society by attending Leawood High School and maintaining a civilian lifestyle. Dex is accompanied by Ferbus, a small, trouble‑prone alien creature.
