Summary
The plot centres on a wealthy inventor, the head of International Patents Inc., portrayed by Pike, who develops a range of experimental devices in a concealed underground laboratory beneath his isolated castle. Locke, played by Houdini, is a Department of Justice agent assigned to investigate the inventor’s activities. During the inquiry, Locke falls in love with the tycoon’s daughter, portrayed by Marsh, but both become targets of a menacing figure known as Robot Q, played by Buckley. The creature repeatedly abducts Marsh within her father’s palace, having already disposed of the inventor, and subjects Locke to a series of seemingly inescapable traps.
The narrative concludes with the revelation that Robot Q is not a mechanical being but a man who has endowed himself with extraordinary strength through a mysterious device.
