Summary
Meego is portrayed as a 9,000‑year‑old alien whose spacecraft crash‑lands on Earth, where he is discovered by siblings Alex, Maggie, and Trip Parker during a routine outing with their dog. The children quickly form an attachment to Meego and persuade their single father to allow him to reside with the family in the capacity of a nanny.
Although Meego initially intends to remain only until repairs to his damaged vessel can be completed, he gradually develops a strong emotional bond with the Parker children and ultimately chooses to stay with them. His presence introduces various forms of advanced alien technology into the household, including a wrist‑mounted device capable of influencing human behaviour.
Throughout his time with the family, Meego conceals his extra-terrestrial origins from Mr. Parker, who remains unaware of his true nature. The character is further distinguished by his physiology, notably possessing seven hearts, a trait that underscores his non‑human identity.
