Summary
The planet Rosetta is seized by the Black Star Army, an expansionist military force commanded by Captain Dagger. During the invasion, Gou Shishido is captured, prompting his wife Rosemary and their son Takashi Shishido to flee to Earth. Captain Dagger is later revealed to be Takashi’s twin brother Hiroshi, who was separated at birth and raised to serve the Black Star Army.
Settling in Japan, Takashi lives under the civilian identity of a martial arts student, training at a local kung‑fu school. His extra-terrestrial origins remain undisclosed to his peers, with only his instructor, Master Takamine, aware of his true identity. Takashi forms close friendships with four fellow students, Seiji Kurogawa, Hyosuke Yuri, Ran Takamine, and Ippei Saru, none of whom initially suspect his connection to Rosetta.
When Captain Dagger launches an offensive against Earth using an array of giant engineered monsters, Rosemary, also known by her Earth name, Mari, entrusts Takashi with the Megalon Bracelets. These devices enable him to transform into Megaloman, a towering, long‑haired warrior created to defend Earth from the Black Star Army’s forces.
Early in the conflict, Takashi’s four friends discover his secret. Recognising their loyalty and potential, Rosemary provides each of them with their own Megalon Bracelets. With these devices, they transform into a team of multicoloured martial‑arts‑based super‑warriors who fight alongside Takashi in defence of Earth.
