Summary
While visiting The Domain, a comic‑book store located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, two boys, Kaz and Oliver, inadvertently discover a concealed portal within the city’s local hospital that leads to Mighty Med, a secret medical facility dedicated exclusively to the treatment of superheroes. Despite being normos , a term used to describe ordinary humans lacking superhuman abilities, they are appointed as junior medical staff and youth observers under the supervision of Horace Diaz, the hospital’s director.
Kaz and Oliver assist in the diagnosis and treatment of injured superheroes, frequently encountering unusual medical cases unique to superhuman physiology. Their work often places them in the midst of various misadventures, many of which involve confrontations with dangerous supervillains who threaten both Mighty Med and the wider superhero community.
